COACH
Coaching Girls on the Run is a life changing experience!
Coaches (group facilitators) do not have to be runners
or athletes, but they do have to possess a passion
for helping young girls, the ability to have fun and
lead a group. Girls on the Run provides training and
materials. Coaches must be available at least one
day per week, M-Th between 3:45 and 5:15pm. Coaches
must also attend a training session to understand
the philosophy of the program, examine some of your
own "girl-box" issues while at the same
time fine-tuning your facilitation skills. Training
sessions are a lot of fun and fully prepare you.
For more information on becoming a Girls on the Run
coach contact Maria Case at 626-590-4770 or maria@gotrpasadena.com.
Volunteer coaches must be CPR certified and pass
a background check.
Special Events Coordinator
Commitment: Ongoing
Special Events Coordinators plan, staff and execute a variety of activities throughout the year, such as informational open houses and fundraising events. Special Events Coordinators will also look for opportunities in our community that GOTR can participate in. The special events team will also help coordinate the Fall 2007 5K race on December 15.
